A mine tracking system decision should start from the safety and operations questions the control room needs to answer. Personnel visibility, equipment movement, emergency status, restricted zones, and shift reporting should be mapped before the product list is finalized.
Separate personnel tracking from general asset tracking
Personnel tracking has different requirements than equipment or asset monitoring. A miner tracking workflow needs identity, last-known zone, movement history, muster count, and response context. Equipment tracking can share the same gateway layer, but the reporting and emergency logic should be designed separately.
Use project scope as the commercial baseline
Fixed package names should not replace a field survey. Buyers should compare pilot, small-site, production, and enterprise scopes before a quote is prepared with real gallery plans, workforce counts, gateway positions, and alarm expectations.
